Trophy Room

705 Commercial St, Emporia, Kansas 66801

Dr. Megan Caughron will be our next Talks on the Rocks speaker. In her talk, she will explore with us what distinguishes Catholic education from its secular counterpart, why young people today need -- and crave -- such an education, and how Catholicism can help us become the teachers, parents, and mentors that children and teens need.
Dr. Megan Caughron (aka, "Dr. C") received her undergraduate Liberal Arts education at Thomas Aquinas College in California. She went on to earn her M.A. in English at the University of Missouri - Kansas City and Ph.D. in English with a Rhetoric emphasis at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She has taught at the college, graduate, and secondary levels and is currently teaching English at a diocesan high school in Kansas City, MO.
